Online services payment information

AFSA Online Services provides a variety of payment methods for your convenience. If you are a registered user of Online Services, you can make payments via credit card or bank payment. If you transact with us regularly you may be eligible to become an On-Account customer.

Note: to align with the Australian Government's ongoing efforts to modernise the payments infrastructure, we no longer accept cheques as a payment option.

Payment methods

The following payment options are available.

Credit card

Immediate payment for services can be made by credit card, which we process using Commonwealth Bank's BPOINT payment gateway. Currently, Visa and Mastercard credit cards are accepted.

A tax invoice will be generated at the time of the transaction and can be viewed or downloaded by selecting Menu, Billing & Payments, then View transaction history.

Bank payment (Electronic Funds Transfer – EFT)

Payments are accepted via direct credit (EFT) using your online banking facility to prepay funds into your online account. (We no longer support transaction-specific EFT payments).

To make a bank payment, follow these steps:

  1. Download a payment advice using the guidance in the 'How to generate a payment advice' section below.
  2. Deposit funds into your online account using the EFT details generated. Allow 1–2 business days for the amount to show as credited to your account.
  3. Once the credit shows, you can proceed to pay for a Bankruptcy Notice or other transaction.

On-Account customer

An On-Account customer operates on a credit basis, using our Online Services immediately, but paying for those services that attract fees, at a later date.

A statement detailing amounts owing will be sent to you on a monthly basis.

Our payment terms require that payment for amounts owing must be made within 30 days. Payments can be made via bank payment (EFT) or credit card.

If at any time you exceed your credit balance, you can still request services by choosing the credit card payment method (to ensure the service is processed immediately). Bank payment, where processing begins once payment is received, is also available. These services will not be charged to your monthly on-account statement.

To be considered as an On-Account customer you will need to have a sufficient volume of regular transactions with us. On-Account customers have a minimum credit limit of $5,000.

To become an On-Account customer you can download and complete the Credit application form.
