Why work with us

A group of diverse work colleagues gather around a table

AFSA is an executive agency of the Attorney General’s Department. We contribute to Australia’s economic and social prosperity by administering and regulating the personal insolvency and personal property securities systems and managing criminal assets.

We are a small, ambitious and dynamic agency. With staff based across the country, we play a critical role in Australia’s $3.5 trillion credit system. We do so by administrating and regulating the personal property securities register as well as personal insolvencies. We also work with other agencies to manage criminal assets and we have almost $400 billion in assets under management. Our staff work with a wide range of stakeholders to provide empathetic and high-quality services.

We offer a flexible, challenging and innovative work environment and we are looking for people who are curious, innovative and creative thinkers, and with critical reasoning skills to join us on our journey to become a visible, modern and contemporary regulator.
