EL1, Assistant Director, Partnerships & Evaluation
About the Role:
The Regulatory Operations Group operationalises AFSA’s strategy, delivering integrated end to end regulatory services that supports clients through AFSA systems and ensures compliance in line with AFSA’s approach to regulation to people centric, outcomes focused, harms based, intelligence led, and strengths based.
The Education and Outreach (E&O) function within the Regulatory Operation Group educates and engages across sectors and programmes to target interventions to improve compliance. The section leads and manages targeted education and outreach activities with priority audience groups.
The Assistant Director Partnerships & Evaluation will lead a team to achieve E&O strategic objectives. They will support implementation of the E&O strategy by identifying, facilitating, and fostering partnerships to reach priority audiences. Further, they will engage in regular and systematic reviews of E&O outputs to ensure an environment of continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities:
- Identify, assess, and cultivate strategic partnerships with organisations, institutions and community groups that can help E&O reach its priority audiences.
- Develop and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with partners to enhance the impact and reach of education initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with teams within the E&O section to evaluate education programs and outreach activities, using data-driven methods to assess their effectiveness and impact.
- Support the development of evaluation frameworks and tools to systematically baseline and measure program outcomes against established goals and KPIs.
Key qualifications, accreditations and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in an education or communications context.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to pro-actively meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team in an education and outreach environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and evaluating educational campaigns.
- Demonstrated experience building and leveraging long-term professional partnerships.
Please note there is an operational requirement to be in the office at least 2 days per week for this role, and some travel will be a requirement.
