Can I extend or change my travel plans?

If you already have approval to travel but your plans have changed, you must inform your trustee.

If your trustee is the Official Trustee (AFSA), you are able to update your travel details. A further non-refundable application fee may apply.

Provide us the following:

  • The new dates or destination you’re requesting.
  • The reason why you need to make the change.
  • Any evidence to support your request. For example, if the airline cancels your flight and you have an email to support that claim.

We will assess your request and notify you of the outcome.

When you return from travel

Inform your trustee as soon as you return from overseas travel. If you return after your specified return date or travel overseas without permission, you could face penalties.
