PPSR searches
There were 3,450,092 searches conducted on the PPSR in the September quarter 2025. This was an increase of 2.5% compared to the September quarter 2024, when there were 3,364,894 searches on the PPSR.
Motor vehicle searches by serial number were the most common type in the September quarter 2025. They accounted for 56.3% of searches.
PPSR registrations
There were 582,612 registrations created on the PPSR in the September quarter 2025. This number rose by 3.3% compared to the September quarter 2024, when there were 564,229 registrations created.
In the September quarter 2025, there were 392,870 amendments to registrations on the PPSR. There were 442,415 registrations discharged or removed from the PPSR.
At 30 September 2025, there were 10,772,840 current registrations on the PPSR. Motor vehicle was the most common collateral class with 5,098,099 registrations. This was 47.3% of total current registrations.
Commercial property was the most common type of collateral. At 30 September 2025, 8,528,946 current registrations on the PPSR were of this collateral type. This was 79.2% of total current registrations.
