PPSR searches
There were 3,348,955 searches conducted on the PPSR in the December quarter 2025. This was an increase of 4.3% compared to the December quarter 2024, when there were 3,211,188 searches on the PPSR.
Motor vehicle searches by serial number were the most common type in the December quarter 2025. They accounted for 55.6% of searches.
PPSR registrations
There were 571,986 registrations created on the PPSR in the December quarter 2025. This number rose by 2.1% compared to the December quarter 2024, when there were 560,279 registrations created.
In the December quarter 2025, there were 364,387 amendments to registrations on the PPSR. There were 572,294 registrations discharged or removed from the PPSR.
At 31 December 2025, there were 10,673,341 current registrations on the PPSR. Motor vehicle was the most common collateral class with 5,126,388 registrations. This was 48.0% of total current registrations.
Commercial property was the most common type of collateral. At 31 December 2025, 8,423,917 current registrations on the PPSR were of this collateral type. This was 78.9% of total current registrations.
