EL1 Assistant Director Data Centre & Network
About the position
As the Assistant Director of Data Centre & Network Operations, you will lead a team responsible for managing and optimising the organisation's critical IT infrastructure, including data centres, network systems, site facilities and disaster recovery. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our digital infrastructure to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
Key accountabilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Data Centre & Network team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of data centre facilities to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Lead the design, deployment, and management of the organisation's network infrastructure.
- Monitor and analyse data centre and network performance metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain robust security measures.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for data centre and network operations.
- Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements to ensure quality and cost-effective delivery of services.
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership and stakeholders to provide updates on data centre and network operations.
The salary range for this role is $116,203 – $136,790. We are committed to attracting the right talent and are open to discussing remuneration based on your skills and experience, subject to approval.
Qualifications and experience
Desirable Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or relevant industry experience
- 5+ years in a leadership role managing an Information Technology team or in a senior network engineer or data centre role
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in data centre and network operations.
- Certifications in network computing and experience in supporting HPE Aruba, F5 are highly desirable.
