EL1 ICT Change and Release Manager

About the Role:

Within our Technology Services division, the Service Delivery team ensures the quality, reliability and continuous improvement of IT services, working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams and vendors to support organisational priorities. Through strong service management practices, the team focuses on delivering reliable services, improving user experience and maximising business value.

We are seeking an experienced ICT Change and Release Manager to coordinate and control changes and releases across the IT environment, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption. You will bring strong ITIL 4 - aligned Change Enablement and Release Management expertise and a proactive, forward‑thinking approach to continuous improvement. Comfortable working autonomously within a remote, geographically dispersed team, you will play a key role in the stability, reliability and evolution of our IT services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve Change Enablement and Release Management processes based on ITIL4 best practices.
  • Coordinate and manage all changes across the IT organisation, including assessing change requests, scheduling changes, and ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained.
  • Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to review and approve proposed changes, ensuring that all stakeholders are consulted, and risks are adequately assessed.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various teams, including Infrastructure and Business Applications for development, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure that changes are properly planned, tested, and deployed.
  • Maintain a comprehensive change calendar to track planned changes and minimise conflicts.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of changes, ensuring that they are completed within the agreed timelines and that any issues or delays are promptly addressed.
  • Manage the release of software and infrastructure changes into production environments, coordinating activities and communicating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels to keep stakeholders informed about upcoming changes and releases.

Qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or relevant industry experience
  • 3+ years in a Change & Release Management and 5+ years in Information Technology roles
  • Certification in ITIL 3/4 Foundation. Certifications in ITIL Master (Practice Manager, Managing Professional) are highly desirable.
