The postcodes with the highest proportion of debtors in the adult population in Tas were:

  • 7210 (1 debtor per 271 adults) in Launceston and North East
  • 7248 (1 debtor per 275 adults) in Launceston and North East.

There were 27 postcodes in Tas with a higher proportion of debtors in the adult population than the state average. Most of these (67%) were outside the capital city (in Rest of Tas).

The postcodes with the highest number of debtors in 2013–14 were:

  • 7250 (92 debtors) in Launceston and North East
  • 7310 (48 debtors) in West and North West
  • 7248 (43 debtors) in Launceston and North East.

In all of these postcodes, the ratio of debtors to the adult population was higher than the Tas average. They are all outside the capital city (in Rest of Tas).
