There were 1,090 debtors who entered a new personal insolvency in Greater Brisbane in the March quarter 2018. This number rose by 69 or 6.8% from the December quarter 2017. Greater Brisbane accounted for 47.0% of all new debtors in Queensland in the March quarter 2018.

There were 178 debtors who entered a new business-related personal insolvency in Greater Brisbane in the March quarter 2018. This is a fall of six debtors or 3.3% from the December quarter 2017. The largest numbers of debtors entering a business-related personal insolvency in Greater Brisbane in the March quarter 2018 were in:

  • Springfield - Redbank (12 debtors)
  • Springwood - Kingston (10 debtors)
  • Browns Plains (9 debtors)
  • Cleveland - Stradbroke (9 debtors)

  • Townsville (20 debtors)
  • Gladstone (17 debtors).
